Saint Nicholas Day

This feast is celebrated on 6th December. In Slovakia, kids wash their boots the night before this feast, and they leave them all nice and clean by the window for the rest of the night. Throughout the night, the Saint Nicholas brings them some gifts, and he puts them in their boots. If the kid was good and obedient he gets candy,tangerins and all the good stuff, but if he was bad and disobedient he gets coal, potatoes and onion. He has two helpers devil and angel.
