Christmas Carols
We have many pretty Christmas carols and songs in Slovakia. On December 11th one day before St. Lucy's Day, at one hour, five well-known carols are sang and Christmas is celebrated all over Slovakia.
This is first one, it is called Tichá noc and in English it is Silent Night. It is traditional Slovak Christmas Carol, it is sung in church on Christmas and also on 24th December at midnight mass after family dinner.
Second one is called Búvaj, dieťa krásne in translate it is sleep beautiful baby and it is about Santa Claus when he was small child and people sang him this carol so he could dream well.
This one is called Narodil sa Kristus pán and in English it is called Christ The Lord was born.
And the last one is called Nesieme vám noviny and in English it is we bring you a news.
